Director Bio/Statement:

Fedleine Jerome is a Haitian American actress/writer/director and most importantly, mother. Born in Haiti, she and her family immigrated to South Florida at the age of two. Fedleine later went on to study theater with a minor in dance at the University of Florida. She has been featured in several films and has been working behind the scenes from PA to assistant camera to Director. Her award-winning short film "The Therapist” has been selected this year for Aspire TV filmmakers’ competition, as well as several awards including best short, and most watched. As a young mother of two, and sister to 5 amazing women, her works center women, and explore themes of healing sisterhood, and self-love. Her use of comedy serves as a relief as her works often tackle heavy subjects in the Black community, oftentimes highlighting the comedy in the serious. When she is not behind the camera, she enjoys dancing in her local Haitian folklore dance team in Little Haiti, performing in local theater, painting and raising her two beautiful kids, Dj and Jojo, who are three and five.
