A man and woman awaken to air quality hazard warnings amidst severe wildfires. As each surveys the hazy landscape from their respective windows, they deliberate the safety of an important annual ritual. Written and shot within 24 hours during the West Coast wildfires of September, 2020, this climate-focused narrative short follows two friends yearning for joy while mourning a lost sense of home.
