Identity isn’t a fixed truth; it’s a layered, shifting terrain. Through grief, queerness, culture, memory, and myth, each character reaches toward something more honest - sometimes painful, sometimes liberating. From stop-motion spirits to small-town returns, this collection invites us into the quiet, difficult, and beautiful work of becoming.
A couple in their 50's return home for her mother's funeral. Her demeanor reflects the anxiety surrounding her return and it's assumed that this tension is due to her mother's death, but there is more than the impending funeral that she is afraid to face. When she reaches out to a childhood friend, she is confronted about the road she chose and what her decisions have cost her emotionally.
