Content Notes: Contains a sequence with very quick editing and loud volume.
Synopsis: A Brief History of Circles is about the experience of autism beyond language. Through repetition and circularity we find a sense of equilibrium, yet sometimes this escalates to sensory overload. The film seeks to go further than autistic representation through character, embodying autistic experience through sound and image to create a multi-sensory experience revolving around a simple hyperfixation: the circle.
Artist Bio: Georgia Kumari Bradburn is an award winning and BIFA-longlisted filmmaker, writer and programmer based in London, UK. She is a co-director of the The Stimming Pool, and a co-founder of the curatorial collective Stims.
