The not so distant future will give us the ability to “re-link” with our traumatically injured loved ones via new neural technological advances. Or at least that’s what the creators at Sentris Inc. tell Caroline, the daughter of a brain damaged patient on the brink of having his life support terminated. At what risk does one enter the mind of another to bring them back to this plane of existence.

Sentris' actually started as a much longer script titled "Between Here and Home." It was a story in which a young daughter involves her father in a tragic accident then attempts to revive him by using 'Mind-Connecting' technology. In writing, that story, the film's real pull for me changed from the "Sci-fi" features to the known relationship's this father had with his family and they with him. As an audience, we never know our protagonist victim because he dies within the first few scenes. We get to know him through the memories of his daughter and the grieving of his surviving family. More than ever, people need to realize that technology will change things in the modern world faster and fast- er, but our human instincts will always be centered around family and the protection of such.
