Two Serbian sisters Ruzica and Yana have broken the rules and escaped the confines of lockdown when they find themselves in a hurry to get home for their mother's birthday celebration. In a moment of desperation, Ruzica decides to hitch a ride and they are picked up by a local Māori couple. Yana can’t help but be intimidated by the pair and when offered a lolly she notices a gun in the glove box. An apology from the couple is not enough and although Ruzica tries to defuse the situation the tension builds and Yana blurts out that she will go to the police and report them. With this sudden threat, the couple decides to stop the car and reveal their true intentions and it is not at all what the sisters had expected.
