Anjela Pencheva has suffered from Cerebral Palsy since birth, but the difficult diagnosis has never broken her spirit and has turned her into a writer, an actress and a dancer. Through her work, she participates in various initiatives for the rights of the people with disabilities and inspires everyone who has met her. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/bf1848f2ea8151554da06195b314e428.png"> Director's Bio: Vilma Kartalska finished Acting Studies at Theatre College “Luben Groys”. Since 2012 she works as a producer, director, scriptwriter in the field of short films. In 2015 she founded the production company “Raiza Vilm Productions”Ltd. Her short projects won multiple international awards. She completed her MA in Directing Film &amp; TV at New Bulgarian University and is currently working on her first documentary feature, The Golden Girls of Olympia.

ANJELA

Two Serbian sisters Ruzica and Yana have broken the rules and escaped the confines of lockdown when they find themselves in a hurry to get home for their mother's birthday celebration. In a moment of desperation, Ruzica decides to hitch a ride and they are picked up by a local Māori couple. Yana can’t help but be intimidated by the pair and when offered a lolly she notices a gun in the glove box. An apology from the couple is not enough and although Ruzica tries to defuse the situation the tension builds and Yana blurts out that she will go to the police and report them. With this sudden threat, the couple decides to stop the car and reveal their true intentions and it is not at all what the sisters had expected.&nbsp; <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/fdb8865a8b113b61bc646ce7909fe528.png"> Director's Bio: Rouzie is a Bulgarian-born, Muslim-raised, female filmmaker. She has written and directed a number of award-winning shorts and a feature film called Radiogram, which has screened at fifteen international film festivals and won three awards.Her graduation film Glashedy was awarded Distinction at London College of Communications, where she studied Film and Video. Subsequently, she has directed the shorts The Portrait, the musical called Vicky which brought awareness of modern-day slavery in the UK, and the internationally licensed short Tree without a Root.Her debut feature film Radiogram received the support of the Bulgarian National Film Centre, Bulgarian National Television, the Polish Film Institute and is a co-production with Solis Film, Turkey. The production received development finance from MEDIA, while the script has been developed at the renowned ScripTeast and EAVE workshops.Rouzie’s film industry experience includes roles in post-production, international film finance, and distribution, production, and drama development. In London, she worked as Sales Manager for HanWay Films and as Vice President, International Licensing and Distribution for Mister Smith Entertainment. Since moving to New Zealand with her Kiwi husband and family, Rouzie has worked as a Drama Development Producer for Great Southern TV and Development Executive at the New Zealand Film Commission.Currently, Rouzie is working part-time at Libertine Pictures as Head of Development and Production.

She finds herself in a nightmare she never anticipated. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/2d4db931b9c736a86a3eb4bfbacd0c08.png"> Director's Bio: Merve Bozcu -&nbsp; After completing her B.A. in Naval Architecture at Istanbul Technical University, she started the M.A. program in Cinema at Kadir Has University and Documentary Photography training at Galata Photography Studio. In 2017, she completed her feature documentary called Her First, about the challenges faced by women filmmakers in Turkey. Plastic Dream is her first fiction short film.&nbsp;

A short-animated film inspired by the old Greek myth of Narcissus about a vain, young girl named Iris who fell in love with her own image and then one day just disappeared in a bathtub. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/aeedfb2910474a3b2721360dea696585.png"> Director's Bio: Lucija Bužančić is an animator, illustrator and art historian from Split, Croatia, born in 1989. She graduated from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb in 2011 (Art History and Archaeology). In 2017, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, in the Department of Animated Film. Her graduation film, Process (2017.), was screened at numerous international film festivals, and has been listed on VAF New Talents selection for 2018. She is currently working on her new projects with the Zagreb Film production company.

In 2021, she received a BA in Animation at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade. As an exchange student, she spent a semester studying at ESADA: Andalusian Higher School of Art and Design in Granada, Spain. Currently working on her Master degree in Printmaking and Calligraphy &amp; Type Design at the Faculty of Applied Arts in Belgrade.Fields of artistic interests: animation, printmaking, calligraphy, typography.Aside from Serbian, she is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

ORANGE PEEL

A reckless boy in an almost desperate and troublesome way persistently seeks the attention of his photographer father whose chaotic artistic life and obsessive fascination with photography eventually become essential for strengthening the father-son bond.&nbsp; In a story that combines hand-drawn and stop motion animation with collage technique, the author takes his audience on a ride through the archive of Slovenian photographer Dragiša Modrinjak, and at the same time draws from personal experience as a filmmaker and father. <img src="https://storage.googleapis.com/eventive-static/0f7e9fb968060b9ef0c9813275917201.png"> Director's Bio: Miloš Tomić (1976) graduated in Film Directing from the Academy of Arts in Belgrade in 2001. He holds an MA in Animation from FAMU (Prague), class of Petar Skala. There, he also received a PhD with a thesis on discarded objects as material for film and photography. Since 2009, he has been living in Belgrade, where he teaches short video forms at the Singidunum University. In 2013, he represented Serbia at the Venice Biennale.
