Seyithan is a twelve year-old boy living in a Kurdish Village in Eastern Turkey. He reads the tale of The Thousand and One Nights, and reality as he knows it begins to entangle itself with the story.

Mahsum Taskin was born in 1994 in Sirnak. He graduated from Cerrahpaşa Institute of Medicine in 2018. He attended cinema classes in SAKM, Nar Film and Mesopotamian Cinema Collective. After working on various film projects, Taskin wrote and directed his first short film, ALF LEILA WA LEILA / THE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS (2020).
