In the centre of Marseille thousands of people gather to celebrate, rekindling a vibrant connection between Algiers and Marseille. Amidst collective joy, urban tensions and historical echoes, this memorable moment transcends a mere sporting triumph to become an expression of national pride and a complex dialogue with colonial history and the myths of the French Republic.
