Director Biography - Bobby Yan
A six time Emmy Award winner, Bobby Yan is a veteran of the television and music video industry having directed over one hundred music videos and commercials. His recent short film, Marz, appeared in over fifty festivals worldwide. He was recently selected as one of the directors in the ABC Disney Directing Program.
Born and raised in New York City, Bobby represents a new generation of diverse filmmakers with a unique voice and vision. Bobby fuses his love of pop and Hip Hop culture with his rich imagination and love of fantasy and Sci-fi. He received a Masters degree in Digital Design and Animation from NYU, bolstering his talent and abilities to direct visual effects for film and television.
As a storyteller, Bobby is committed to creating and writing work that expands the stories of underrepresented people and subcultures, focusing on the commonalties of heart and emotions that connects everyone to each other.
