Director Biography - Chloé Hung
Chloé Hung is a Chinese-Canadian writer/director working in television, theatre, and film. A graduate of NYU Tisch's MFA in Dramatic Writing program, Chloé got her start in television on two Ava DuVernay-created shows: CHERISH THE DAY and QUEEN SUGAR (OWN). She has developed a pilot for Netflix and most recently wrote on the upcoming new Freeform series THE WATCHFUL EYE. Chloé has been a Black List screenwriters lab fellow and Women In Film Production program fellow for her short, SIGNAL. Her latest short film GEM & SHAZ was produced through the Harold Greenberg Fund for Bell Media. Her plays include ALL OUR YESTERDAYS (Toronto Fringe, Next Stage Theatre Festival), ISSEI, HE SAY (New Jersey Repertory Company), THREE WOMEN OF SWATOW (Tarragon Theatre). THREE WOMEN OF SWATOW was nominated for 4 Dora Theatre Awards in Toronto. She was in playwrighting groups for the Geffen Theatre, the Banff Playwrights Lab, and Tarragon Theatre.
