This short, animated documentary by Johns Hopkins medical student Oscar Li follows two people and their hearing health journeys. Practicing otolaryngologist Frank Lin, MD, PhD, director of the Johns Hopkins Cochlear Center for Hearing and Public Health, weighs in on the importance of hearing to our health and how to understand your Hearing Number.


Director Biography - Oscar Li

Oscar is an award-winning animator and second year medical student from San Jose, CA. He spent his undergraduate career studying Biological Sciences with a minor in 3D Animation at the University of Southern California. He is currently pursuing an MD at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Oscar is passionate about storytelling and the intersection between animation and medicine. He aims to continue creating animated films as a medium for not only scientific literacy and research, but also humanizing the often esoteric medical field and sharing stories.
