Eugene, a once-extroverted 11-year-old, enjoyed a vibrant life with numerous friends. However, as the unknown pandemic unfolds, a surge in Asian hate crimes shrouds his world in fear. Eugene and his mom lives in constant apprehension, besieged by threats from their neighbours, the community, and even the entire city.


One fateful day, after a grocery run, Eugene and his mother return home to an uncomfortable scene. Their neighbour Sabrina and her son Shawn walk out of their house and notice Eugene and Elizabeth. They rush back to their house because Sabrina thinks they are contagious. Eugene's mother ushers him inside and instructs him to lock the doors until she returns from work.


Director Biography - Vyolet Jeun

Vyolet Jeun is originally from South Korea, who is a writer, director and studying Filmmaking in New York. She has been developing her career and path into the directory scene since 2022, learning and achieving as writer/director/producer. She is a romance genre filmmaker, but that does not stop her to reproduce all diverse types of film that is needed in this world. She believes in love, and she loves what she does, film. She has worked on a variety of film sets, with all different types of genre on student film sets and as well as professional film production sets for Shortmax.
