Rajni, a woman of very small stature dreams of seeing her name all over the billboards of Mumbai, as Bollywood's next big 'little' actor. However, the cultural expectations of a being a woman from a small, traditional village add to an already tumultuous journey. She navigates her family's traditional expectations while she searches for fame and success in the world's biggest film industry.

Rajni, a woman of very small stature dreams BIG in Bollywood.

57-year old Anu lost her husband, now her home. Her distant son has ushered her over oceans to New Zealand, so she can leave her grief behind and start life anew. But Anu isn't looking for a fresh start. She is more concerned with a mourning ritual that must happen on the anniversary of her widowing, it being her only way to connect with who she lost. Despite the apathy of her son and ridicule of the world, she resolves to accomplish the ritual using only what she has available in her bare-bones hotel room. But the silence of this room will force her to confront his departure, and look towards the light.

When a recent widow moves to New Zealand from India, she's forced to confront her grief by completing an ordinary ritual in an extraordinary circumstance: quarantine.

A friend of the family and fellow taxi cab driver has recently committed suicide which puts Neela and her father who drives a cab in NYC on edge. Neela starts hanging out with new friends after her father, Adeel allows her to start playing soccer after school while her mother is in Pakistan. When Adeel picks Neela up from school after practice, Neela lies about her father driving the taxi and gets in the back seat. Tensions start to rise as Neela figures out her place in the world at a private school with more middle class students. Adeel tries to keep the truth about his dwindling business from her.
