The dust of war keeps the eyes sleepless. Night brings peace and sleep to most people in the broken town. But the eyes of a mother of a missing child stay open. Night must trick her into sleeping in order to save her soul.
About the filmmaker
Ahmad Saleh is a Palestinian/German writer and director. His first film House (2012) was nominated for the German Short Film Award and his second film Ayny (2016) won the Student Academy Award. Recently he finished his third short film, Night, and is developing his first feature. Inspired by the stories he witnessed while studying his Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering in the Westbank, Ahmad wrote a short stories collection which eventually was one of the winners of the Young Writers Award in Palestine. Winning that award encouraged him to quit his Engineering career to pursue a career in writing, film directing and live-storytelling on stage.
