UCLAxFilmFest celebrates UCLA Extension student filmmakers from around the world.
Nikki and Margaux have agreed to foster a dog who has just graduated from a program that pairs inmates with dogs on death row, at risk for euthanasia. Sinatra isn’t just any dog though—she was trained by Nikki’s mom, a long term off and on again inmate. Nikki struggles to stay in the present with Sinatra as every moment with her reminds her of past hurts inflicted by her mother. Margaux tries to be patient with her but eventually forces her to answer the question: can she let go of the past or will she let it destroy her present?
