Voices With Impact's Serious Mental Illness Short Film Competition was an open call for short films that explore issues related to diagnoses of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder.
We are proud to share with you our 3 winners and their incredible short films.
We had so many incredible films submitted to us. To award the three prizes, our jury of filmmakers and mental health professionals scored the submissions based on their mental health storytelling, artistry and overall effectiveness.

A Bipolar Interview is a story of overcoming the experience and diagnosis of a Mental Health Disorder. An intimate documentary that takes you through the journey of living life undiagnosed to recovery. After being diagnosed with Bipolar 1 Disorder in 2020, Carl Monroe shares his story of learning to cope and heal with his diagnosis over the last 4 years.
