Congratulations to our 3 winners!

Voices With Impact's Serious Mental Illness Short Film Competition was an open call for short films that explore issues related to diagnoses of schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder.

We are proud to share with you our 3 winners and their incredible short films.

We had so many incredible films submitted to us. To award the three prizes, our jury of filmmakers and mental health professionals scored the submissions based on their mental health storytelling, artistry and overall effectiveness.

The Competition was made possible by funds from the Sidney Baer Jr. Foundation.

You can find out more about the amazing work that the foundation does here: https://www.baerfoundation.com/

What It Feels Like is short animated documentary that investigates voice hearing.

Small boxes that contain flip book style animation are presented to show the emotion that people who hear voices feel. The documentary is experimental and expressive in its approach, where the positives and negatives combine to fully express the subversive nature of a misunderstood affliction.
