About the Film: The summer of 2020 saw a surge in demonstrations across the country. Protests supporting Black Lives Matter and social justice writ-large took to the streets to demand change, often meeting violent opposition. The documentary short film, Never Again Para Nadie, presages this moment by a year. Established by Jews, the organization Never Again Action seeks to put into practice the lessons of the Holocaust, including their support for undocumented and refugee neighbors, as they were once “strangers in a strange land.” About the Filmmaker: Anna Feder has been working in cinema exhibition in various capacities for over two decades. She currently serves as the Head of Film Exhibition and Festival Programs in the Visual Media Arts department at Emerson College and curates the Bright Lights film series.&nbsp;Dan Frank is an award-winning producer/director of documentaries for film and TV, television series, commercials, and educational programs. He is on the faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.Justin Reifert is a filmmaker, producer, and educator. About the Film: 8-year-old Malak narrates her family arduous journey of romance, endless love, sacrifice and reunification with her father, in the U.S, after 7-year of forced separation. Angel of Gaza is a close-up portrait of a Palestinian child from Gaza and how they see the world around them. About the Filmmaker: Ahmed Mansour is an award-winning filmmaker from Gaza, Palestine. He did his masters in News and Documentary at New York University (NYU). Before moving to the US in 2015, he made a series of short films highlighting the humanitarian crisis in Gaza Strip after three successive wars. Ahmed's debut was his feature film Brooklyn Inshallah, which had its world premiere at the 2019 Mountainfilm Festival and NYC premiere at DOC NYC. The film is currently being broadcasted nationally on World Channel and PBS. Ahmed has received residencies and fellowships from Duke University and Washington Center for Narrative Studies. Sewing Manager Radica, a Serbian immigrant, believes every flag has a soul. As tensions escalate across the nation, the flagmakers reflect on the question: who is the flag for? About the Filmmakers: Cynthia Wade is an Oscar-winning director based in Los Angeles. Sharon Liese is an acclaimed film director and producer who is known for having her finger on the Zeitgeist. Her films include Transhood (HBO), the award-winning feature documentary, The Gnomist which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival (won 14 awards and attracted 16M views on CNN’s Great Big Story platform), Fight For The First (Meet The Press Film Festival), Selfie (Clio winner, Sundance Institute). Sharon has also created and directed documentary series for television: Pink Collar Crimes (CBS); High School Confidential (WeTV, Gracie winner), as well as served as EP &amp; Show Runner for series on Discovery, MTV, OWN and Lifetime.. She is currently directing and executive producing a 4-part series for Starz.
