HUDSY celebrates the incredibly diverse voices, culture and spirit of the Hudson Valley through the power of film and storytelling on the first streaming video app for the region, HUDSY TV.

ABOUT THE FILM: When you grow up in 36 foster homes, do you ever truly know what home is? For Zakiyah, obtaining housing has always been an uphill battle and home is just a concept. But by pushing past bureaucracy’s red tape and bricks, she will stop at nothing to get out of a failing system to show her daughter the power behind never giving up.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Angel Gates was born and raised in the South Bronx before moving to the Hudson Valley in 2016.
