ABOUT THE FILM: Stuck in the loop of a horror B-movie, a hyper sexualized Black female character decides to reject her fate and rebel against the script. Together, she and her boyfriend, a Black man who always dies first, throw the entire movie off-course. They try to outwit the serial killer and escape in order to break free–but the film has other plans.
ABOUT THE FILMMAKER: Born in Paris, of West-Indian descent, Nicolas Polixene met Sylvain Loubet studying at the prestigious EICAR. In 2015, at Cannes Film Festival, Nicolas won the Océans Prize with his short film "Papé", selected by more than 70 festivals (Directors' Fortnight, Aspen, Palm Springs, Clermont-Ferrand) While working for Walt Disney France, inspired by his work on campaigns for the brand and its subsidiaries (Lucas Film, Marvel, Pixar), Sylvain started collaborating with Nicolas. In 2019, they wrote and co-directed "American Dream", produced by CAVIAR, a huge success winning awards at many festivals (UrbanWorld, Venice Shorts, SF Black Film, BronzeLens, etc.)
