ABOUT THE FILM:

Gracie and her injured lover Amir stop at a rundown gas station in the high desert. The lines between past and present blur, forcing Gracie to ponder an uncertain future.


ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:

David Liu grew up in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains east of Los Angeles. He studied political economy at UC Berkeley and worked as a journalist before earning his MFA from the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He has developed content for Ron Howard and Brian Grazer’s Imagine Entertainment, and his television writing credits include the thriller series Taiwan Crime Stories (Disney+/Hulu, 2023). David is currently developing his debut narrative feature Santa Anita as a fellow of the Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program, the SFFILM Rainin Grant, the IFP/Gotham Week Project Market, and the Woodstock Filmmaker Residency.
