Over the past 16 years, Abertoir has had the pleasure of screening short films from all over the world. Many of these fit into the ethos of the WOW Film Festival and present an outlook on the world from many different and varied viewpoints, using genre as a way of not only telling some fantastic stories, but also demonstrating the incredible talent we've discovered. We've selected a sample of some of our foreign language finalists from the past four years, from Europe to as far as Japan. We hope you enjoy some of the incredible work that is being made around the world in genre filmmaking.
Dros yr 16 mlynedd diwethaf, mae Abertoir wedi cael y pleser o ddangos ffilmiau byrion o bedwar ban y byd. Mae llawer o’r rhain yn cyd-fynd ag ethos Gŵyl Ffilm WOW ac yn cyflwyno golwg ar y byd o lawer o safbwyntiau gwahanol ac amrywiol, gan ddefnyddio genre nid yn unig fel ffordd o adrodd straeon gwych, ond hefyd i ddangos y dalent anhygoel rydyn ni wedi’i darganfod. Rydym wedi dewis detholiad o rai o'n cystadleuwyr rownd derfynol o'r pedair blynedd diwethaf, gan gwmpasu cyfanswm o saith gwlad wahanol, o Ewrop i mor bell i ffwrdd â Japan. Gobeithiwn y byddwch yn mwynhau rhywfaint o'r gwaith anhygoel sy'n cael ei wneud ledled y byd ym maes cynhyrchu ffilmiau genre.
