Idaho's salmon and steelhead runs -- once among the greatest runs in the world -- and the orcas that feed on them are facing catastrophe from the continued operation of the four Lower Snake River dams, and when these apex predators go, the entire ecosystem collapses. This film- a good companion to our river running film from last year on the same topic, The Grand Salmon- looks more closely at the unsavory machinations that contributed to the construction of the dams in the first place and the campaign to keep them operating.
