MEET THE FILMMAKER: ANNALISE LOCKHART

Annalise Lockhart is a writer/director, born and raised in New York. Her work largely focuses on the Black experience, with a strong Afro-Futurist current running through it. She has worked extensively as a 1st Assistant Director on projects such as Random Acts of Flyness (HBO), The Assistant (2019), The Fits (2015), and Chained For Life (2018). Inheritance is her first short film as director. She received her B.A. in English Literature and Creative Writing while at Stanford University.
