MEET THE FILMMAKER: HANNAH WELEVER

Hannah Welever is a proud, queer, midwestern born renaissance woman. With over six years of professional experience, Hannah has played an integral role in productions throughout the United States —from Joe Swanberg to Killer Mike, she has worked with some of the most influential and thought provoking artists of today. Through Hannah’s diverse expertise in photography, film studies and interpersonal relationships, she has developed into a sought after cinematographer & director with a colorful resume and unique visual style. Recently, Hannah was invited to attend the prestigious ASC Masterclass in LA and worked along side cinematographers such as Dan Laustsen (Shape of Water) & Ueli Steiger (Austin Powers). Hannah is a much needed strong voice of feminine power in the film industry, with the content to prove it; she is a recipient of an AICE award, and her work is featured in Vogue, Rolling Stone, Elle, Pitchfork, and the Fader. She prioritizes meaningful relationships, bold imagery, and going above in beyond as a contemporary storyteller. Hannah is motivated to be a vessel of positive change and outstanding cinematic work.
