At Crested Butte Film Festival we believe that film can change lives. Every year we strive to create opportunities for participants to learn and have the opportunity to act during the festival. To accompany our panel “An Unusual Route: Dialogues Around Systemic Representations” and the films exploring race in America, we’ve developed a list of resources to support your journey toward anti-racism. This is not comprehensive by any means, but we hope this helps.
THE LONELY STAR
An ill-fated explorer finds himself marooned on a desolate planet. Alone with his thoughts, he is caught between a sandy reality and snowy hallucinations of winters past.
Director Bio
An affinity for the great outdoors, mixed with an eye for photography, led Frank to adventure documentary filmmaking early in life. He has been the driving creative force and principal cinematographer behind several adventure and outdoor documentary productions in locations as far-flung as Nepal, Tibet, India, Morocco, and Peru.
Frank is a co-founder of Futuristic Films, based in Denver, Colorado. Frank enjoys skiing, mountain biking, not sitting in airports, and spending time with his wife and son in the foothills of Boulder, CO.
