The film focuses on Tan Jun, a Taiwanese food blogger and founder of a catering brand, who settled in Nanjing and has a history of catering development in mainland China. And reflect the changes and trends in cross-strait relations from the development process of entrepreneurship. For example, the story of Shanghai's failed entrepreneurship, meeting a benefactor in Jiangsu to make a comeback, falling into a low point due to the epidemic, and reigniting hope through self media also corresponds to the development process of cross-strait relations between mainland China and Taiwan, emphasizing the inseparable relationship between mainland China and Taiwanese tourists. At the same time, the film uses the culinary elements of Uncle Ma Ji to build a bridge between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, promote peaceful development of cross-strait relations, and make positive contributions to the peaceful reunification of the motherland. This film is different from traditional documentaries in that it uses a lot of music to assist narrative through the emotions of music, showcasing Ma Ji's psychological state at different stages and the different situations of cross-strait relations. The content of each song corresponds to the narrative content and theme one by one.
