The Washoe CASA Foundation held its 4th annual Biggest Little Easter Egg Hunt on April 12 in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. It was heartwarming to see so many happy kids with their baskets, eyes wide with excitement as they searched for colorful eggs. The event wasn't just about the kids. Caretakers had the invaluable opportunity to connect with over 70 incredible child welfare organizations. It was a fantastic chance to gather information, resources, and support from the dedicated individuals and groups working to spread awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Biggest Little Easter Egg Hunt

The Biggest Little Easter Egg Hunt tells the story of how the iconic Reno easter egg hunt event, known informally as ""BLEEH"", came to be and how it's founding organization, The Washoe Casa Foundation, see BLEEH as crucial tool for their mission to raise awareness for Child Abuse and Neglect in Northern Nevada.

This is the true story of one woman's deep love and compassion for the Syrian refugees whom she encountered during her travels. Unlike most people, she did not walk away but volunteered a decade of her life to motivating the children to learn and uplifting them out of poverty through offering them an education!

Restoring Lost Hope: A Way Out for Syrian Refugees

When Clark County Public Arts commisions a mural spread across 21 concrete pillars at the Pearson Center, California artists Mike Norice create a design that reflects the historic neighboorhood around the building (the Westside of Las Vegas). With the guidance of UNLV historian Claytee White, the project theme beautifully displays an “uplifting historic legacy”. Through 1865-2025, the documentary features the intergenerational greatness of African Americans in Las Vegas. They are pivotal to the world-class destination of Las Vegas with over 100 years of history. The film is in memory of Stan Armstrong, Melvin “Beetle” Ennis, Edna Stovall, and Charlene Smith.

Piconland: The Quest for the Perfect Picon Punch is the story of an “American West cocktail creation.” The film introduces the Basque-American drink, and the folks who keep its ritual alive in boarding houses and bars across Nevada. Full of mischievous characters on both sides of the bar, Piconland traces efforts to make the cocktail Nevada’s official state drink, its unique ingredients (including the secretly held recipe of the liquor behind the drink’s potency and flavor), and the existential pressures of gentrification, changing lifestyles, and personal loss on the places where it’s served nightly to enthusiastic patrons.
