When Clark County Public Arts commisions a mural spread across 21 concrete pillars at the Pearson Center, California artists Mike Norice create a design that reflects the historic neighboorhood around the building (the Westside of Las Vegas). With the guidance of UNLV historian Claytee White, the project theme beautifully displays an “uplifting historic legacy”.
Through 1865-2025, the documentary features the intergenerational greatness of African Americans in Las Vegas. They are pivotal to the world-class destination of Las Vegas with over 100 years of history. The film is in memory of Stan Armstrong, Melvin “Beetle” Ennis, Edna Stovall, and Charlene Smith.
