Director Statement

Directing this film was a deeply personal endeavor. It allowed me to delve into themes of forgiveness, the search for meaning, and the profound discovery of our innermost selves. Through Joe’s story, I hope to inspire audiences to reflect on their own lives and consider the possibility of seeing beyond the immediate; the trials, loss, and regrets of life to a broader, more compassionate universal perspective. I sought to explore the afterlife as a bar, where Joe, our protagonist, encounters his faithful companion, his greatest loss, and ultimately God himself. Through this journey, I aimed to reveal the transformative power of perception and forgiveness.
