Her first short DỌLÁPỌ̀ IS FINE (2020), which was the recipient of the HBO Short Film Award (2020), was one of ten longlisted for a BAFTA (2021), and has been screened at over 150+ festivals worldwide. DỌLÁPỌ̀ IS FINE has been acquired by Disney+, Netflix and HBO.Joan has recently completed the BBC Studios Writer’s Academy (2022) and is under commission for a new original series, HOUSE OF OJO. Director StatementA few years ago I learnt that I had a number of fibroids growing inside me, with the largest onebeing the size of a mango. I set out to find out more information about this condition: what on earth was this benign tumour doing inside of me? How did it get there? And how could I get rid of it, quickly? There were…noanswers. The double invisibility that comes from tackling racism and misogyny in the healthcarespace, shocked me to my core.This film is personal and political. MANGO promises to be a rare example of the female experience on screen, documenting an invisible health condition that affects so many. I hope that it will contribute to the ongoing conversation and the collective attempt to reduce the number of women suffering in silence.

Desperate to repay a debt, the two children see an opportunity. In exchange for becoming their playmate, the lost boy offers them his father’s card PIN as the price of friendship. Director BiographySaber Allahdadian, born on November 13, 1988, is a filmmaker, documentarian, and screenwriter who studied a bachelor's degree in Animation Directing at the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) University. He began his professional career by making several documentary films and writing screenplays in the field of cinema. His first serious venture into short films was with "Thirteen Two Times Eight". His works are characterized by human concerns, personal narratives, and a precise visual language, bridging the gap between documentary and fiction.

Billy developed a passion for film at a young age, spending countless hours watching and analyzing movies with the hopes of one day making his own. Now, Billy continues to pursue his passion for filmmaking working on a variety of different projects including his first short film, What A Day. Director StatementWe’ve all had a bad day before. Your usual morning shower was cold, it was raining when you expected it to be sunny, or maybe you’re just not in the mood for whatever the world has planned for you. It feels inescapable, almost like the world is out to get you, and the only thing you can do is push through it all until the day is over. By the time you’re lying in bed all you can think to yourself is, “Gosh, what a day!” That’s what I wanted to capture with my short film, What A Day. Adam is just like any stranger you walk past on the street. In fact, you probably walk past a hundred people like him a day. Someone who has their own routine and daily life that is rarely interrupted. If you find that relatable, that's the idea. We ALL have bad days, it’s just that in the moment you might feel like you’re the only person affected by it. I purposely wanted it so you don't see what causes Adam’s bad day, only how it affects him. We immediately see his frustration with the day, something most of us can relate to. I made this short with the hope that you can appreciate the absurdities that life offers us on a daily basis even if it makes you feel like your future self is trying to kill you.&nbsp;

What A Day

In a world where anthropomorphic sea creatures have taken over and grew a disdain over humans, a mysterious individual enters a saloon in a seashore town while hiding a secret that, if revealed, could put his life on the line. This secret becomes difficult to keep when a duo of aquatic, mammalian robbers' barge in. Will the individual stand by idly or will he risk it all to save the aquatic patrons? She hopes to one day make a career out of storytelling and creating character designs. His father is a Stanford doctor who bucked convention and traveled the world with his LatinX partner and their nine kids. Their exploits were featured in the award winning documentary "Surfwise," by Doug Prey and Magnolia Films.Salvador's career origins began as part of the surf apparel industry, where he was chief designer for Billabong Sportswear and later Hurley Clothing. In his youth was classically trained in oil on canvas at the Arts Students League in New York City. Salvador published his first comic book (Surf Crazed and Wave Warriors) as a teenager. Both featured in the internationally published Surfing Magazine. An avid reader of all books since his childhood days of traveling and surfing Salvador turned to screenwriting full time in 2009 and in 2015 "Age of Adaline," which Salvador created and co-wrote, starring Blake Lively and Harrison Ford, was released worldwide by Lakeshore Media. Salvador also teaches Master Screenwriting for Professional’s Program at UCLA. Director StatementDirecting this film was a deeply personal endeavor. It allowed me to delve into themes of forgiveness, the search for meaning, and the profound discovery of our innermost selves. Through Joe’s story, I hope to inspire audiences to reflect on their own lives and consider the possibility of seeing beyond the immediate; the trials, loss, and regrets of life to a broader, more compassionate universal perspective. I sought to explore the afterlife as a bar, where Joe, our protagonist, encounters his faithful companion, his greatest loss, and ultimately God himself. Through this journey, I aimed to reveal the transformative power of perception and forgiveness.
