Glammas Wrap is produced by Clarion Performing Arts Center in San Francisco Chinatown.
Directors - Wangyuxuan Xu, Colleen Quen, Clara M Hsu
Originally from Suzhou, China, Wangyuxuan Xu was raised in an untraditional Chinese household where her parents’ gender roles are reversed. Her father was constantly criticized by being a house dad. Watching the struggles her father encountered, Xu understands how diversity and inclusion are important but also how difficult it is to implement. Now, as a female journalist of color in the media industry, Xu hopes to speak out for herself and other minority groups. She aims to create narratives that touch on diversity within a local community, gender equality, and show that despite our differences, we are not much different from each other.
