Watch out! The most demaning programme is back, 29 films in 70 minutes that shows what kind of standard there the Nordic-Baltic animation scene has to offer their clients. The programme consist of the fun animated commercials, music video, information films, animated TV-segments, vignettes and moving design has to contribute. A programme that is so commercial is just fun to watch, because theres the money.

The films are competing for the festival award for best commissioned film.


Age limit: 12

A short film that mixes 2D animation, classical music, and a dance performance about a little budgie that can't fly. It is attacked by a bird of prey. It falls out of its nest and lands at the bottom of the forest. Here it meets a dancer who wants to help, but without the ability to fly how can anyone help?


Mikkel Mainz is an animation film director who graduated from The Animation Workshop in 2013 and is the founder of the 2D studio Skjald and co-founder of the 2D studio Sun Creature. He created and directed the web series and universe Tales of Alethrion and is developing feature films & TV-series. He has animated various other 2D projects like Ivandoe, Song of the Sea, and Emara. He has grown an online community of more than 200K followers and is a teacher and supervisor at The Animation Workshop and Højer Design School.
