This short explainer film was part of a series commissioned by the Norwegian Institute of Public Health during the COVID-19 pandemic. The brief was to convey information about the COVID-19 vaccination programme in a clear and easy to understand manner. At the time of production vast amounts of information regarding the vaccines were circulating in our society, which made it essential for the film's tone to come across as both reliable and friendly. We therefore opted for a warm and clear design language using a toned down color palette, effective use of white space and relatable characters portraying a cross-section of the Norwegian society. During the pandemic new information became increasingly available and NIPH needed us to come up with a concept and an animation rig that allowed us to quickly produce new films in order to relay important information to the public. This is why we came up with the set box concept which not only created a solid baseline for new film productions, but also allowed us to categorize information to make it more easily digestible. The idea was to focus each topic in its own "room". Furthermore this concept allowed for engaging yet time-efficient transitions between scenes, and gave each film a clear structure where each chapter of the film could easily be re-arranged.
