
This is the monologue of Elmer Horner from the stage production “Death by Design” (The Secret Holocaust Of Wrightsville, Arkansas). It is the true story of 21 African American teenage boys ages 13-17 that burned alive who attended The Negro Boys Industrial School in Wrightsville, Arkansas in 1959 due to extreme racism. The chard remains of the boys were taken to a nearby funeral home where Elmer Horner along with other parents went to pick up different body parts of the table hoping they might have taken a piece of their son with them.
