《Overview》This film was conceived and produced by Misaki Mizumura, an actor. With a desire to create a film that could encourage women to pursue their dreams, the theme revolves around the challenges of balancing motherhood and dreams, and depicts the struggles of women who continue to chase their dreams while discovering hope without giving up. Yukiko's character serves as a representative, showcasing the difficulty of letting go of dreams even after becoming a mother, despite the lack of understanding from her unsupportive husband and mother-in-law. What is it that gave Yukiko hope? 《Synopsis》Yukiko, the protagonist, balances her role as a mother with her unyielding dream of becoming an actress. However, she struggles to stand up against her unsupportive husband and mother-in-law who dismiss her dreams. Is it forbidden for a mother to have dreams? Follow the Sun

This short film takes viewers on an inspiring and intriguing visit with PJ and Roy Hirabayashi, whose lifelong partnership is dedicated to taiko, the Japanese drum. After founding San Jose Taiko 50 years ago, they became innovators by combining Japanese folk taiko with complex polyrhythms from American and other musical influences to form an original Japanese American musical art form. Their style of ensemble taiko has now spread across the US and worldwide. They have been honored by the Smithsonian and NEA, among others. We also learn how PJ and Roy found purpose by using taiko as a platform for Japanese American identity, social change, and community-building. The film incorporates the Japanese philosophy of "ma," or negative space, a crucial component in Japanese art that allows a pause to consider unseen elements that can give greater power to the whole. It's also structured around cultural values brought from Japan, such as "gaman," which means to persevere, and "ishhokenmei," to work with utmost effort. Our film title, "Because of You, I Am," is from the Japanese phrase "okagesamade," which refers to the ancestors who paved the way for the following generations. For our subjects, PJ and Roy Hirabayashi, this means immigrants from Japan, including their grandparents, who persevered against many obstacles to pave the way for them to build their lives here in America. The title has a double meaning as viewers will learn that PJ &amp; Roy have been together for over 50 years, dedicating their lives to each other and the art of Taiko. Through their story, viewers learn about the tragic history of anti-Asian racism Japanese Americans endured during WWII. As Roy and PJ point out, anti-Asian hate is on the rise again in the US, so they continue to struggle against injustice and strengthen their community. Our subjects persevered against great odds to build a singular, creative life together as artists, educating and inspiring generations of taiko drummers. A lone female student spends her summer holiday hanging around an empty highschool. A female teacher tries to befriend her but with little to no success. Many locals participated as extras, and most of the actors selected through auditions had no acting experience. Local children also worked on character designs as part of their school-related work experience. 宮崎の北部に位置する門川町には、ほんの少しの特殊能力を持つこどもたちが集まる放課後学校があった。その能力者たちは「おずむ衆」と呼ばれ、かつて神々と共に空から侵略者を封印した者たちの末裔であった。そんな中オッタマゲートは闇の帝王を呼び覚ますため、おずむ衆の能力を利用し、神話最古の神殺し「カグツチ」の復活を目論む。果たしてヒムカイザーたちはオッタマゲートの陰謀を阻止することが出来るのか！？

Mai, a college student delirious helper with an armpit cancer complex, is strongly criticized by a customer today because of the smell of her own armpits. Meanwhile, the gap in romantic experience is widening among Japanese youths, and those men and women who are called "romantically weak" often have a complex about their own romantic experiences. Makoto, a male university student, is one of them. He was rejected by Mai's friend Erena because of his virginity, and his own complex makes him feel inferior. One day, Makoto calls Mai at a delicatessen in order to graduate. Mai tries to hide her armpit cancer, but Makoto finds out. However, Makoto gently kisses Mai's armpit. Mai, who has accepted her complex, is attracted to Makoto. ......However, Makoto still seems to like Erena. Mai is depressed to learn this fact. Meanwhile, Makoto tells Erena that he has lost his virginity, but she brushes him off, saying, "That's not what I meant. Makoto is depressed.
