Director Biography - Jordan Gustafson

Jordan Gustafson is a non-binary, bisexual, LA-based writer/director whose work aims to highlight authentic, intersectional queer experiences through vibrant, specific worlds all rooted in heartfelt emotional authenticity. With a unique, playful tone and strong visual aesthetic, Jordan aims to blend genres into something special and fresh for modern audiences. Raised in Massachusetts, they started their filmmaking career on YouTube, creating shorts that garnered millions of views and built a subscriber base of 275,000+. Since graduating from Emerson College, Jordan has written and directed a myriad of successful short films, in addition to their feature screenplay and television pilots, that have all been official selections at festivals worldwide. Most recently, Jordan was included on Out in Hollywood’s 2025 Out Loud List, which celebrates exceptional unproduced TV pilot scripts and groundbreaking queer voices. Alongside their directorial work in music video space, Jordan co-hosts the podcast The Queer Quadrant which analyzes LGBTQIA+ representation in four-quadrant films. Since its inception, the podcast has had on numerous esteemed guests like Oscar-nominated showrunner Liz Hannah, Emily St. James, Vanity Fair’s David Canfield, and The Bechdel Cast. Jordan currently edits and designs decks for Working Title Films, closely working with talent like Lena Dunham, Anna Kendrick, and Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.
