About Dawa Yangzum Sherpa
Athlete, professional mountain guide/instructor and Social Worker
In 2017, she received a certification from the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association, South Asia's first internationally recognized female guide (IFMGA). She has summited 12 of 8K peaks.
Dawa Yangzum has climbed Everest several times and she became the first female Nepali woman to summit the fifth highest peak Makalu on 29 May 2019. On 26 July 2014, she was part of the all-female 3-member Nepali contingent to summit K2.

About Dawa Futi Sherpa
Dawa Futi Sherpa is the eldest child of Pasang Lhamu Sherpa. She is also the President of the Pasang Lhamu Foundation, a charitable foundation founded in Kathmandu in 1993 in honor of her late mother. From November 2019 to October 2021, Dawa served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Nepal to the Kingdom of Spain. Over the course of her career, Ambassador Sherpa has held various positions in both non-profit and private sectors in Nepal and in the United States. She received her MA in International Education from New York University, in NY, USA, and has a sound knowledge of development, importance of cultural exchange and public diplomacy.
About Lex Limbu, Moderator
Lex Limbu is a blogger, content creator, LGBTIQ+ activist, and a passionate advocate for cultural understanding and travel. He is the founder of Tracing Nepal, a travel experience that bridges the gap between Nepalis residing overseas to Nepal. He started his blog lexlimbu.com at the age of 16.
Limbu is the son of a British Gurkha veteran and has lived in Brunei and the UK for the past 29 years. He completed his Masters in Tourism, Environment and Development from King's College London in 2016 and has working experience in the non-profit sector having worked in organizations such as the British Red Cross, UNICEF UK and ICIMOD.
