Cloud Striker
Elijah Cloud Striker was stolen. His father rides for weeks, visiting every residential school within hundreds of miles to find him. On the morning the Chief finds the right school, what he walks in on is more than any father can endure. Revenge is the only course of action. Synopsis: Cloud Striker is an intense fifteen-minute drama with the feel of a Western but told from an Indigenous point of view. The film has an emphasis on resistance, revenge and redemption. It is set against the backdrop of an Indian Residential School, Circa 1930. This is an unflinching look at the white entailment, hypocrisy, and the violence perpetrated against Indigenous children at these schools. Elijah Cloud Striker is a sixteen-year-old Indigenous kid who is forced to attend Saint Ignatius Indian Residential School. His father, Chief Cloud Striker, has come to the school to reclaim him. Upstairs Elijah is being abused and humiliated by the vicious Sister Beatrice. Downstairs his father, Chief Cloud Striker, negotiates his way past a condescending and hypocritical Father Christian. When the Chief begins to understand the abuse his son has been made to suffer at the hands of this nun, an act of violent retribution is more than justified.

The iconic river of the west, the mighty Columbia River, was once the source of the greatest salmon runs in the world. But massive dams have blocked salmon from returning to the vast headwaters of the upper Columbia River in Canada for over 80 years. Bringing the Salmon Home is the story of three Indigenous Nations who are upholding their sacred responsibility to reintroduce the salmon, working with US Tribal relations and allies along the river. Today the Syilx Okanagan, Secwépemc, and Ktunaxa Nations are working to bring the salmon home, for the benefit of all. This is a vital film that calls on the inspiration and commitment of present and future generations.
