A prolonged economic uncertainty forces even the local funeral service workers to explore suspect shortcuts to get more work for their parlors, some of which requires maintaining dubious connections with the local hospital staff. Zoki, a funeral parlour worker in Shtip (a mid-sized town in Macedonia) and a charming and positive family man, is faced with many challenges while taking such shortcuts. As competition heightens, increased disloyalty and dishonesty starts to break Zoki’s spirit, leaving him to wonder whether money is everything in life, after all?

Sashko Potter Micevski graduated with a degree in film editing in Skopje. Some of his works were shortlisted for the student Oscars and BAFTA, and his short documentary (EXTRA)TERRESTRIAL LEE (2014) received several international festival awards and a wide audience reaction. He studied MA Sound Design at the NFTS in the UK. WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE (2020) is Micevski’s second auteur documentary.
