The world outside of our hometowns is vast and diverse. Many young people come to see these unique stories only when they go away to a university. Fewer still are able to study abroad and experience the wonders of another country’s culture. This program, therefore, aims to showcase all of the wonders of international film (any films outside of the United States) from the young people across the globe willing to share their art.

About the film:

A young woman tries to bridge the differences between herself and her parents by contacting her sperm donor in hopes for answers about her heritage. But the conversation doesn’t go the way either of them expected.

About the Director:

Emily Macrander is a London-based director working on short format projects such as music videos and short films and has won at the Kodak Nahemi Commercial Awards with her Charles Tyrwhitt Spec Commercial. Born in Germany, Emily is interested in stories that explore belonging and identity as well as taking a theoretical and practical interest in aesthetics.
