A celebration of the talent and legacy of important animated projects with the creators who made them happen.

Please join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes fly-through tour of the Academy Museum. The Museum campus is comprised of the restored and revitalized historic Saban Building—formerly known as the May Company building (1939)—and a soaring spherical addition that houses the 1,000-seat David Geffen Theater. Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Renzo Piano, the Academy Museum’s seven floors feature exhibition spaces, education and special event spaces, a conservation studio, a café, a museum store and the 288-seat Ted Mann Theater.

The tour provides an in-depth overview of the Museum’s opening exhibitions, including interview segments with Spike Lee, Rita Moreno, Pedro Almodovar and more. We’ll also learn about the Museum’s plans for a year-round calendar of screenings, film series, member programs, panel discussions, family programs, and symposia. Programs will include retrospectives and thematic series that illuminate the artistic and cultural contributions of an international selection of movie artists.

The museum opened to the public on 30 September, 2021.
