David is currently a senior artist at Imagendary Studios. He is a film & games industry veteran with over 17 years of industry experience and deep knowledge in lighting, compositing and digital matte painting. Of those 15 years, he worked as a senior cinematic artist at Blizzard Entertainment. He has mentored artists all around the world in digital matte painting for almost a decade through CGSociety.org/CGMA and co-authored the book d’Artiste: Matte Painting Vol. 3. He has also founded an art gallery located in downtown Santa Ana, California, called Photonic Playground.

Alyssa Zárate is currently a Matte Painting & Environment Supervisor at Sony Pictures Imageworks. For over a decade, she has worked on films such as Mitchells vs The Machines, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, Spider-man: Far From Home, Game of Thrones, The Wolverine, Jurassic World, Prometheus, The Chronicles of Narnia to name a few; and various shows produced by HBO, Starz, National Geographic, Amazon Prime, Disney, and Netflix.
She started out working in the Art Department as a Production Designer for film & television productions around New Zealand & Australia.
She is passionate about leadership, mentoring, and inspiring current and future generations of artists in Visual Effects & Animation, especially those from the underrepresented communities.
