Chinese immigrant Frank holds a family dinner to celebrate his Son Kevin’s graduation. During the dinner, Frank’s little brother Don announces the other great thing which is Don and his husband Will passed the adoption test, Frank is so happy for them. After the dinner, Frank gives Kevin a car to be the gift. Kevin is so excited and thankful, then Kevin takes his “girl friend” Emily to a joyride. They by a parking lot, Emily says she can not pretend to be Kevin’s girlfriend forever, she suggests Kevin to confess to his father. Kevin comes back to home and comes out to his father Frank. However, Frank’s attitude toward homosexuality completely changes, which is he can support anybody be gay except his own son, thus he falls into a deep self-struggle.


Director Biography - Alan Tsao

I was born in China and I got my first camera when I was 10 years old. I got my master’s degree in film school in 2016 and currently based at San Francisco bay area. I have directed multiple short films, short documentaries, commercials and experimental video projects. I have experience in multiple positions throughout the film production process, but specialize in direction and editing.
