The focus of his work and interests include the analysis the Philippine-American diaspora and exploring nuances in Filipino culture. In his debut of Ma'am Tere, a film about Philippine coffee and the people behind it, Paul fulfilled the roles as director, producer, and editor.

Ma'am Tere

Mike and Jenn started Kedai Tapao in 2020 with the goal of bringing their taste of Malaysian food to Chicago. Within a few short months they succeeded in spades. Now most of their pop-ups sell out within hours. For this documentary we followed Mike and Jenn over the course of 3 days leading up to their first plated dinner pop-up service at Superkhana. The film explores the difficulties of opening and starting a pop-up business against the backdrop of a beautiful love story. Straight out of San Francisco State University's film program, Kiana's list of work involves experimentals and dramas surrounding their multiple identities on to a film screen. When not directing, they also play a hand in the camera department as a well-knowned cinematographer and camera assistant. They love making films for people who look like them so that they're able to be seen and heard.
