Exploring love in all its forms, this short film set contemplates human desire from the highs of infatuation to the depths of loss. Is it worthwhile to be "in love" with romantic love (Luv, Me)? Can technology aid one's search for love (Talk to Me)? How do we navigate the loss of our romantic partners (Breakdown and Mabel) and the tribulations of family (My Mother’s Daughter and Thunderclouds)? Most importantly, what can we do to find joy in our relationships with ourselves, others, and our communities (Granny Boot Camp)? This set reflects on what it means to love oneself and others – in full realization of love's power and its constantly changing nature.
While growing up, Lily and her family celebrate Tet by going to the festival every year. As the years progress, her mom and dad become more cold and distant to each other until they get a divorce. Lily and her mom move to a new apartment and adjust to their new lifestyle. Lily signs up to perform at her school’s Tet Festival and wants her mom to come, but her mom is too caught up in the new responsibilities of being a single working mother. Lily goes to the festival alone and performs. In the middle of her performance she sees her mom in the aisle and they make new memories together at the Tet festival.
