ABOUT THE FILM: When Leah, a Korean adoptee raised in America, returns to Korea to find her birth mother, she confronts secrecy on the part of the adoption agency and her family, but remains committed to discovering the truth of her origins.


ABOUT THE FLIMMAKER: Christina Yoon is an award-winning writer/director from New York and Atlanta. She likes to make dramas and genre films exploring trauma, alienation, and identity. As a TV writer, she has most recently written for Apple TV+’s Pachinko.Her films have been selected at festivals including Palm Springs International ShortFest, Hamptons International Film Festival, Hollyshorts Film Festival, and more. Her work has been written about in The Korea Times and discussed by NPR. Her short, Motherland, won Best Narrative Short at the Oscar-qualifying Provincetown International Film Festival.Christina is a graduate of Columbia University in Screenwriting/Directing. She is based in LA.
