ABOUT THE FILM:Fluorescent critters groove through a coastal world, led by a superior choir. Their carefree crawl, however, is increasingly disturbed by the rising seas. As an invisible force gnaws its way up the beaches, one individual after another disappears. But is an invisible danger really worth slowing down the usual crawl? An insight into the hustle and bustle of a diverse critter community, characterized by peer pressure, shining egos and a pinch of cute stubbornness. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Tatjana Theuer discovered her passion for motion design while studying communication design in Wiesbaden, Germany from 2016-2020. During her studies she gained work experience at an agency and through freelancing. A semester abroad in Malaysia introduced her to the field of entertainment design. Eager to combine entertainment, advertising and motion, she studied motion design at the Film Academy in Ludwigsburg, Germany from 2020-2023. Her work and graduation film Rise Age (2024) reflects her speciality of conveying serious topics through charming concepts.

ABOUT THE FILM:Fan follows the journey of Ben, a Taiwanese entrepreneur, spanning from the 1950s to the present day. It unfolds the narrative of how Ben, armed with resilience and diligence, navigates through life. Despite facing setbacks caused by a typhoon and the painful loss of their son, Ben and his wife remained undeterred. Together, they transformed their modest ironworks into a multinational enterprise, symbolizing the collective contributions of numerous Taiwanese entrepreneurs to Taiwan's economic boom from the 1960s to the 1980s. Immersed in a watercolor art style, Fan pays homage to the modern artists of 20th-century Taiwan. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Erik Lee was the Animation Supervisor for the 2019 Academy Award-nominated Best Animated Short One Small Step, Production Supervisor for the 2020 San Francisco International Film festival selected Pangu, Production Supervisor for 2020 The One Show, “Fu” Animation Supervisor for 2021 Wish Dragon, and Senior Animator for 2017 Tea Pet and 2016 How to Train Your Dragon TV series seasons 3 &amp; 4. ABOUT THE FILM:Nostril is a stop motion animated short film about Lala, a sleep-deprived woman kept awake by her husband’s obnoxious snoring. When the sound becomes so powerful that it quite literally sucks her into his nose, Lala finds herself in a terrifying battle against the boogery germ creatures that dwell within. Blending comedy and horror, Nostril looks at the things we put up with for love, highlighting relationship struggles with a light-hearted tone. ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS:Michael Dondero is an Emmy-award winning filmmaker, animator and writer based in Brooklyn, New York. As a storyteller, Michael embraces a variety of techniques including live-action video, stop motion animation, audio-dramas, and photography. His work explores comfort through discomfort, finding humor and liberation in silly moments where embarrassment and self-seriousness collide. Shengnan Dong is an artist based in New York who mainly focuses on creating 3D character design and fabrication using illustrations, modeling, and sculpting techniques. She aims to build an exciting world filled with amusing and adorable characters for her audience to enjoy.

ABOUT THE FILM:In the aftermath of her newborn baby's sudden death, orca mother Tahlequah carries her daughter's body across the Salish Sea in the incredible true story that captivated the world. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Daniel Kreizberg is an award-winning filmmaker. His debut short film "Tahlequah the Whale: A Dance of Grief," which he wrote, directed and narrated in 2023, was awarded the “Special Mention of the Festival” at the Oscar-qualifying Animayo International Film Festival. It also received an Honorable Mention at the Jackson Wild Media Awards (“the nature equivalent to the Oscars”), and awards at DocsMX, Blue Water Film Festival, International Ocean Film Festival, Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival, Lucca Film Festival, and at the Telly Awards, where it won a Telly Gold. Daniel currently resides in New York City.

ABOUT THE FILM:Nubbinwood is an actor, and beaver, who dreams of being in the movies. Listen as he shares his personal struggles as one of the least represented minority groups in Hollywood (North American Beaver), as well as his archival recordings from some of the most iconic animated-character auditions from his acting career. Being the only beaver actor in Hollywood has never been easy. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Tim Granberg moved to Los Angeles in 2000 with a story idea for a short film about a resourceful beaver. Over the next 10 years he would teach himself animation, work at several animation studios and develop his short film idea into a feature-length movie script. However, a script is nothing without a star, and that’s when Nubbinwood was born.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Masha Ellsworth is a lead technical director at Pixar, with extensive experience in characters department. She began as a Ratatouille intern in 2007, working on lighting and sets, and has since contributed to numerous Pixar feature films including Up, Toy Story 3, Brave, Inside Out, Finding Dory, Coco and Turning Red. Masha is from northern Ukraine, and holds a dual degree in Computer Science and Visual Art from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Bound is a part of Pixar's co-op program.

They embrace both directing and writing, to create subversive, expressive, and deeply personal work. Zen Pace is a nonbinary Emmy-nominated filmmaker and writer. They've collaborated with GUCCI, META, Microsoft, CBS, and many more. Recently, their short, FRAUD,"premiered at Tribeca and was shortlisted for the Directors' Fortnight at Cannes.

He gained his first experience in professional filmmaking duringinternships in France and in Berlin. In 2016 he began studying at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg. From 2019 to 2020 he did an exchange to the renowned Gobelins school in Paris. Now after finishing his graduation film Turmspringer, he works on an animated feature film.

One day, she meets a mysterious giant frog in the park, who leads Amy through a tree hole and into a forest full of mythical creatures. Here, Amy discovers that these mythical creatures actually have some kind of magical connection with her classmates. After a series of amazing adventures, Amy learns to accept her differences and face the real world bravely, thus unraveling the knot in her heart. ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:Paul Williams was born in Swindon, England in 1976, and he has degrees in Fine Arts and Animation. He now settles in Japan. Paul has been involved in several Oscar-nominated films, including L‘Illusionniste (2010), La tortue rouge (2016), and Klaus (2019), and served as animation supervisor for Funan (2018), that won the Cristal Award at the Annecy International Animation Festival. He settled in Japan in 2018, collaborating with Japanese production companies. Paul directed Stone Turtle (2022) (Animation part), which won an award at the Locarno Film Festival, and was an animator for the Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse which won an Oscar.
