In the aftermath of her newborn baby's sudden death, orca mother Tahlequah carries her daughter's body across the Salish Sea in the incredible true story that captivated the world.


ABOUT THE FILMMAKER:

Daniel Kreizberg is an award-winning filmmaker. His debut short film "Tahlequah the Whale: A Dance of Grief," which he wrote, directed and narrated in 2023, was awarded the “Special Mention of the Festival” at the Oscar-qualifying Animayo International Film Festival. It also received an Honorable Mention at the Jackson Wild Media Awards (“the nature equivalent to the Oscars”), and awards at DocsMX, Blue Water Film Festival, International Ocean Film Festival, Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival, Lucca Film Festival, and at the Telly Awards, where it won a Telly Gold. Daniel currently resides in New York City.
